Director:

Brett Bursey has been director of the Natural Guard*, an environmental and social justice resource organization, since 1979. The Natural Guard has been the primary organizing force behind the creation and development of the South Carolina Progressive Network. Bursey has been doing grassroots organizing in South Carolina since he was the state traveler for the Southern Student Organizing Committee in 1968 and 1969.
