Missing Voter Project

Link to SC Missing Voter Maps

The SC Progressive Network's Missing Voter Project is an innovative and high-tech way of finding unregistered and infrequent voters. Using the most current voter registration list and running it against Census data, we can target blocks in neighborhoods across the state where voter registration drives would be most effective.

The data can be sorted for race, income, single mothers, age and other demographics. You can pick a county, then a precinct, and print maps that show high areas of unregistered and infrequent voters. Click on the SC Missing Voter Maps link above to get to the interactive precinct maps. Precincts that are at least 20 percent black population are in detail. Follow the directions on the SC Maps page.

If your organization is interested in joining the Missing Voter Project, contact us at network@scpronet.com. We would be glad to arrange a training session for your group.

Thank you to Democracy South, a regional coalition of state-based progressive organizations for sorting and posting the data supplied here.
