The good news is that GROW has a brand new air-conditioner.

The bad news is that it came with an $8,500 price tag.

As word spreads about our music workshops, open mic sessions, and other events, GROW is increasingly running at full capacity. In this blistering Carolina heat, the place can get steamy.

Our old AC was 31 years old and struggled to cool the building when packed with humanity. While we appreciate its long and noble service, it was time for a new unit.

In an effort to keep GROW accessible to all, most of our programs are free. We operate on a bare-bones budget, and rely on donations, memberships, and occasional small grants to keep the lights on and the bills paid. This unexpected expense stings.
